Infanta Power and Throne JSK

Hello mammoths!

Today my pirate lolita dress finally came in the mail!

I've always had a huge thing for pirate things but I didn't really think about making a pirate lolita outfit until October. It kept becoming stronger and stronger need, so I finally decided to do it. However, now I can honestly say that it really is a dream-came-true :)
But because pirate lolita is a bit too costume-y and it needs an occasion to wear it for, I will wear it one day on Animefest in May, unless I make more cosplays than planned (i wouldn't bet on it though :D).

As for the dress itself, after I unwrapped the package, I was left speechless. It is one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen, no joking. Both, the design and the quality are A plus. I was expecting more of a Bodyline style but in my opinion, this can be compared with Japanese brand dresses and it's a shame that some of those Taobao brands are often taken as something inferior just because they're cheaper and Chinese.

 Let's look at some pictures

The dress is made from velveteen fabric which makes it looking even more pirate-like. It's not as heavy and thick as I imagined, which is a big plus for me.

Detail - button on the shoulder.

Even the lace is really nice.
Detail on a sparkly golden print. There are two repeating motifs, one of them is a pirate girl and one of them is a birdcage.

The back side of the dress. When I was buying it, I didn't notice this detail but I love it so much! It makes the dress look like a skirt and vest and it adds on the pirate image.

I ordered the dress via Qutieland, they're a bit more pricey than other shopping services but in my case it didn't make much difference. It took them a long time to answer me but their customer service is actually really good, they were very polite and professional when I needed to change my delivery address from the Canadian one to the Czech one.

I can't wait to wear the dress in the pirate co-ord I'm getting together!
What do you think about it? :)

  7. I know this is a slightly old post, but I've got a quick question, if you don't mind answering~ The print looks a bit blurry in places, especially in front of the birdcage. Is that just because of the shiny print not photographing well?

I'm currently trying to decide between this JSK, or Infanta's Snow White JSK, so thank you so much for your detail pictures, it's really helpful!

    1. I think the print is perfectly ok, just my camera sucks and it was hard to take the picture sharp because it's shiny
      hope this helps :3
